Estate Office have advised a private family run hotelier on the sale of their boutique hotel to Staywell Holdings, a subsidiary of Prince Hotels from Japan.
The 82 bed boutique hotel, situated in Marble Arch, Central London was owned and operated by AB hotels since 2010.
Masahiko Koyama, president of Prince Hotels, Inc. said: “We are honoured to announce that our first overseas luxury brand, The Prince Akatoki will be opening in the world’s leading city, London. We are very thankful for being able to come across The Arch London, a well-known hotel loved by guests. Together with Staywell, we will strive to deliver the Japanese culture and hospitality through The Prince Akatoki brand to the world.”
Chaim Aziz, Director at Estate Office commented “Deciding to sell this hotel was not an easy decision for our client given their history associated with it. Once a decision had been made we made sure that the transaction was carried out quickly to ensure confidentiality which was paramount. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the UK, this transaction continues to show the appeal of Central London, in particular to the overseas market with whom we continue to transact on a regular basis”.
